Shri Narendra Kumar Singh holds a B-Tech degree from Patna Engineering College, Patna. He began his career as a Electrical Engineer and also taught at technical institutes in the state. In the 1970s, he left his technical profession to actively participate in the Jay Prakash movement. Subsequently, he dedicated his life to social activism in the flood-prone areas of Kosi and Kamla in North Bihar. In the 1990s, he became a member of the 'Yatri Seva Samiti' of Indian Railways, where he advocated for rail and passenger safety and addressed issues related to crowd management, water, and sanitation hygiene. Additionally, he served as Director of the Bihar State Warehousing Corporation, where he championed the safe storage of agricultural produce to ensure food security in the drought and flood-prone areas of Bihar. With his extensive grassroots experience, Shri Narendra Kumar Singh is a valuable asset for addressing various disaster-related issues in the state of Bihar.
